On December 5, 2025, Tianmen Clean Energy (a non-wholly owned indirect subsidiary of CHINA POWER (02380)) entered into Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract I and EPC Contract II with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute. Under these contracts, Shandong Institute will provide survey, design, equipment procurement, construction, installation, and technical support services for the Yuekou Fozishan and Ganyi Zaoshi projects at a total cost of RMB 939 million (approximately HKD 1.032 billion).
The Tianmen Wind Power Project is located in rural areas abundant in wind resources and favorable for large-scale renewable energy base development. It has been designated by the Hubei provincial government as one of China’s two pilot county projects for rural energy revolution, aimed at advancing clean and low-carbon energy transition. Upon completion, these projects are expected to optimize local energy structures, boost rural revitalization, and reinforce China’s "dual carbon" goals (peaking carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060), while enhancing the Group’s profitability.
The investments align with CHINA POWER’s strategic objectives of green and sustainable development. The Group awarded the contracts to Shandong Institute through a competitive open bidding process on China’s procurement and tendering platforms, including the China Electric Power Equipment Information Network and State Power Investment E-commerce Platform. The contract terms and pricing are consistent with or superior to prevailing market rates for comparable projects. The Board confirms that the terms and costs of these contracts are no less favorable than those offered by independent third parties.
