China's Stock Indices End Mixed with Broad Gains, High-Priced Stocks Plummet on Multiple Daily Limit Downs

All four major indices ended higher on August 14, with the ChiNext index showing stronger performance. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.01%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.45%, the ChiNext Index gained 1.12%, and the Sci-Tech Innovation Board Composite Index increased by 0.79%. Total trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges reached 2.14 trillion yuan, down 408.1 billion yuan from the previous trading day, marking the ninth consecutive trading day with volume exceeding 2 trillion yuan. More than 2,900 stocks fell across the market.

In terms of sectors, the CPO (Co-Packaged Optics) concept saw a volatile rise, with Cambricon Technologies and Jinge New Materials hitting their daily price limits. The computing power leasing sector quickly rebounded, with Wangsu Science & Technology, Data Harbor, and Liton Electronics all hitting their daily limits. The pharmaceutical sector showed repeated activity, with Magic Pharmaceutical and Bojie Medical both achieving two consecutive daily limit ups, while Huasen Pharmaceutical and Xidian Pharmaceutical also hit their daily limits. The liquid cooling server concept performed actively, with Kangsheng Shares hitting its daily limit.

On the downside, high-priced stocks collectively declined, with Qin'an Shares, Baoying Shares, Delong Energy, and Jingtou Development hitting their daily limit downs, while Tongli Tianqi and Huangshi Group touched their daily limit downs.

In a recent research report, Huaxi Securities noted that at the current juncture, expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut have cooled, and the macro liquidity environment has marginally improved, providing a relatively friendly short-term backdrop for growth sectors. Overseas cloud providers' capital expenditure remains generally high, with Alphabet and Amazon successively raising their full-year guidance, while Microsoft's spending scale also remains elevated. The rigidity of AI infrastructure investment is clear, which continues to secure orders and performance guarantees for leading suppliers in key domestic areas such as optical modules, high-speed connections, and liquid cooling.

Wanlian Securities believes that global AI computing power infrastructure construction continues to accelerate, driving high demand for domestic and international optical interconnections. 800G is accelerating in volume, and 1.6T is gradually entering the scale deployment phase, with related order visibility continuously improving. Core domestic enterprises, leveraging their technical, capacity, and large-scale delivery advantages, are well-positioned to fully benefit from this wave of global AI computing power infrastructure construction.
