Market Regulators in Subei County Conduct Quality Inspection Campaign for LPG Cylinders

Deep News17:01

To effectively prevent and mitigate product quality safety risks and protect the lives and property of the public, the Market Supervision Administration of Subei County in Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, recently carried out a special inspection on the quality and safety of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders and related products. The inspection was conducted in collaboration with the County Emergency Management Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and Fire Rescue Brigade. Focusing on LPG distribution stations and sellers of gas appliances within the jurisdiction, the campaign involved comprehensive checks on key areas such as product sourcing verification, quality labeling, periodic inspection of cylinders, and compliance in filling operations. A total of eight business entities were inspected. Authorities verified whether these entities possessed valid business licenses, implemented cylinder filling permits in accordance with the law, and obtained mandatory product certification for household gas appliances. Inspectors also examined whether cylinders in use or for sale were within their valid inspection period and checked for violations such as unauthorized modifications, use of overdue or scrapped cylinders, and illegal filling or sales activities. During the inspections, law enforcement personnel educated operators on relevant regulations, including the Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China, the Special Equipment Safety Law, and rules on compulsory product certification, guiding businesses to enhance compliance awareness and safety responsibilities. Moving forward, regulatory efforts will continue to strengthen oversight of hazardous chemicals and gas cylinder product quality, improve interdepartmental coordination and information sharing, and rigorously crack down on illegal operations to contribute to sustained stability in regional production safety.
