Jiangxi Environmental Engineering Vocational College's School of Intelligent Manufacturing On-site Engineers has successfully concluded a new work-study alternation apprenticeship training program at Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. Of Zhuhai (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. This achievement marks a substantial step forward in deepening industry-education integration and advancing collaborative talent development between the institution and the company.
During the one-month training period, over 90 students from the college's Intelligent Manufacturing School immersed themselves in the production lines at Gree Electric Appliances. They participated in full-time shadowing of actual job roles, including operations and maintenance of intelligent manufacturing production lines, precision machine tool operation, equipment program debugging, component assembly quality inspection, and production process control. This initiative achieved seamless integration between classroom learning and workshop practice. Students not only acquired skills in basic equipment operation and process specifications but also developed professional habits such as meticulous attention to detail, adherence to standards, and teamwork.
"Starting from zero knowledge of the equipment to independently operating it, I truly understood what it means to strive for excellence," said student Ye Weisheng. "Enterprise mentors taught us process standards hands-on, and this experience has given me a much clearer direction for my career development."
The work-study alternation program effectively transformed corporate workshops into practical classrooms, production processes into teaching materials, and enterprise technicians into training mentors. This approach successfully bridged the gap between academic theory and hands-on practical application.
In recent years, Jiangxi Environmental Engineering Vocational College and Gree Electric Appliances (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. have initiated comprehensive cooperation spanning from order-based training to in-depth collaborative education, guided by party-building initiatives and leveraging the intelligent manufacturing school's "Ganpo Craftsman Inheritance" party-building brand. Together, the institution and the enterprise have established Jiangxi Province's first School of Intelligent Manufacturing On-site Engineers and a comprehensive internship and employment base. They are currently preparing to establish a Technological Innovation Center in Jiangxi Province.
Through the mutual exchange and appointment of personnel between the school and the enterprise, both parties have collaborated on tackling production line technological challenges and developing educational resources. This has enabled the construction of a diversified collaborative talent development system, gradually forming a two-way empowerment dynamic described as "the enterprise within the school and the school within the enterprise." This model represents a distinctive path toward industry-education integration.
Looking ahead, Jiangxi Environmental Engineering Vocational College will continue to deepen its long-term cooperation with Gree Electric Appliances (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd. The college plans to regularize the work-study alternation project and continuously improve the collaborative talent development mechanism. These efforts aim to help students cultivate a craftsman spirit and grow into highly-skilled professionals suited to the development of the intelligent manufacturing industry, thereby contributing vocational education strength to the high-quality development of Jiangxi's advanced manufacturing sector.
