According to the China Rare Earth Industry Association, the price index for today stands at 269.6.
The index calculation is based on the transaction data from both the base period and the reporting period. The base period uses the full-year transaction data from 2010, while the reporting period uses the average of daily transaction data from domestic rare earth enterprises. This data is then input into the rare earth index price model to derive the index. (The base period index is set at 100.)
