HK Stock Movement | CHOW TAI FOOK (01929) Falls Nearly 3% as Partial Price Hike Looms Amid Recent Equity Restructuring

Stock News12-18

CHOW TAI FOOK (01929) declined nearly 3%, dropping 2.7% to HKD 12.24 by press time, with a turnover of HKD 82.88 million. Market sources indicate that following an October price adjustment, the brand's Tmall flagship store discreetly announced on December 17 that select products will see price increases due to market factors, effective December 19. Notably, this marks the third price hike for fixed-price gold products in 2023, after adjustments in March and October.

Additionally, recent equity restructuring within the CHOW TAI FOOK group revealed that Chow Tai Fook Capital, controlled by the Cheng family, transferred nearly 54% of its stake in Chow Tai Fook Jewellery to Beyond Luck Limited—a subsidiary jointly owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises (65%) and Chow Tai Fook Capital (35%). The reorganization aims to optimize the group's capital structure and unlock business value, positioning Chow Tai Fook Enterprises as the parent entity for core family businesses, including Chow Tai Fook Jewellery, Chow Tai Fook Creation, and New World Development.
