Deep News06-02

Reports emerged on June 2nd alleging that attendees at a national project cooperation summit for the Moutai Group in 2026 were required to purchase a minimum of four bottles of Qianmao liquor for every single bottle of Feitian Moutai they bought.

It is understood that in July 2025, a subsidiary under the Moutai Group's health wine business, the Health Industry Company, entered into a cooperation agreement with Guizhou Qianmao Marketing Planning Co., Ltd. This arrangement authorized Qianmao Planning Company to distribute the Qianmao series of alcoholic beverages produced by the Health Industry Company.

The agreement stipulated that Qianmao Planning Company would be responsible for the promotion of the Qianmao series products. It was required to strictly manage its distributors and sub-distributors, conduct business and marketing activities lawfully and compliantly, and refrain from deceiving or misleading consumers. The company was explicitly prohibited from using the names "Moutai Group Company" or "Health Industry Sales Company" for business solicitation, promotion, or product marketing without authorization. Furthermore, all product advertising content required prior approval before release.

Regarding the alleged "bundled sales" practice, Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. (Group) Health Wine Industry Co., Ltd. issued a statement clarifying that these were misleading business and promotional activities initiated unilaterally by Guizhou Qianmao Marketing Planning Co., Ltd.
