"The moment Shichahai Ice Rink opens, the winter DNA of all Beijing stirs!" On January 10th, the Qianhai section of the Shichahai Ice Rink officially opened for business, attracting a large wave of visitors eager to have fun on the ice, especially as it coincided with the weekend. Data shows that during the first weekend after opening (January 10th-11th), the number of visitors to the Shichahai Ice Rink surged by 57% compared to the same period last year. On the Tongcheng Travel platform, the popularity of the Shichahai Ice Rink also rose rapidly, securing a spot in the national TOP 10 list of popular scenic spots. For many Beijing locals, skating at Shichahai and the Summer Palace is a cherished "winter delight" from childhood and a collective memory filled with strong festive atmosphere. As ice and snow tourism breaks through into the mainstream, "Old Beijing style" winter activities are increasingly sought after. Historical booking data from Tongcheng Travel (00780) indicates that at famous ice rinks like Shichahai, the Summer Palace, and the Old Summer Palace, the proportion of visitors from outside Beijing can reach over half, making ice skating a must-do activity for tourists visiting the capital in winter.

It is learned that as early as 2022, Tongcheng Travel established cooperation with several popular Beijing ice rinks, including Shichahai, the Summer Palace, the Old Summer Palace, Chaoyang Park, and Purple Bamboo Park, launching both online booking and on-site QR code scanning ticket purchase channels. Building on years of deep collaboration, Tongcheng Travel has renewed its partnership with these renowned ice rinks for the 2025-2026 winter season, providing more detailed and comprehensive online and offline ticketing service support. Compared to previous years, this season Tongcheng Travel has integrated the ticket purchase channel directly into the backend of the "Shichahai Culture and Tourism" official WeChat account. Users browsing official guides and service information can now conveniently purchase tickets within the account without needing to switch between different pages.

A representative from Tongcheng Travel stated that Beijing's famous ice rinks naturally attract significant visitor interest, but initially, ticket sales and entry checks relied on manual processes. Following Tongcheng Travel's cooperation with Shichahai, the Summer Palace, the Old Summer Palace, and other popular Beijing ice rinks, the digitization and smartification of their ticketing services have significantly improved. Simultaneously, Tongcheng Travel offers 7x24 online services, enabling prompt responses and quick resolutions for various customer ticketing needs. Notably, besides the Shichahai Ice Rink, other venues with ticketing cooperation through Tongcheng Travel—such as the Old Summer Palace Ice Rink, Chaoyang Park, Wenyu River Ice and Snow Festival, Olympic Forest Park, and Purple Bamboo Park Ice Rink—are already open for business, with visitor numbers continuously rising. Among them, the Old Summer Palace Ice Rink opened on January 1st this year and has so far welcomed 12,000 visitors, while Chaoyang Park Ice Rink has seen a more than 400% year-on-year increase in visitor traffic since the start of the year.
