Yao Huaming was elected mayor of Dalian, Liaoning Province, on September 29 during the sixth session of the 17th Dalian Municipal People's Congress.
Yao Huaming, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in October 1971. He holds a postgraduate degree and a master's degree, and is a member of the Communist Party of China.
He currently serves as deputy secretary of the CPC Dalian Municipal Committee, mayor of Dalian, and secretary of the leading party members group of the Dalian Municipal People's Government.
