Yangtse Evening Post Online, October 16 (Correspondent: Shan Chenwei, Reporter: Sun Rui) — In order to further popularize cybersecurity knowledge, enhance the cybersecurity awareness and anti-fraud capabilities of residents in the jurisdiction, and foster a strong social atmosphere of "cybersecurity for the people, cybersecurity by the people," Fangshan Town recently carried out a series of National Cybersecurity Awareness Week activities in a solid manner.

During the activities, staff members and New Era Civilization Practice volunteers posted National Cybersecurity Week publicity posters in key areas of the market town and villages. At the same time, they distributed the "Civilized Internet Use, Healthy Life" publicity booklet and National Cybersecurity Week publicity leaflets to passersby, explaining cybersecurity common knowledge to the public in plain and easy-to-understand language around topics such as cybersecurity policies and regulations, personal information protection, civilized internet use, identification of online rumors, and prevention of AI fraud. They reminded the general public to remain vigilant, be cautious about clicking unfamiliar links, and protect their personal privacy information.

Village officials in each village simultaneously carried out household visits, posted anti-fraud notices on village bulletin boards and at main intersections, and delivered anti-fraud publicity flyers door to door. Combining typical cases of high-incidence telecom fraud in rural areas, they focused on explaining common fraud schemes to elderly people and rural residents, such as rebate brushing, fake investment, and impersonating acquaintances. They reminded everyone to "not easily trust, not disclose, not transfer money," safeguard their own "money bags," and build a strong rural anti-fraud and anti-deception barrier.

Through this series of Cybersecurity Week activities, using publicity methods that are "down-to-earth and popular," cybersecurity and anti-fraud knowledge was delivered to the doorsteps of the public, effectively expanding the coverage and influence of cybersecurity publicity, and effectively enhancing the network risk prevention awareness and self-protection ability of the broad masses of villagers.

In the next step, Fangshan Town will continue to promote cybersecurity and anti-fraud publicity on a regular basis, making simultaneous efforts both online and offline, effectively building a grassroots cybersecurity protection barrier, and safeguarding the public's network property safety.
