Cathay Pacific Sees 80% Surge in Guangzhou-Hong Kong Flight Bookings During Labor Day Holiday

According to information from Cathay Pacific, bookings for arrivals or transfers via the Guangzhou-Hong Kong route during the Labor Day holiday period increased by nearly 80% compared to the same period last year. Reservations for departures via Hong Kong through the "Sea-to-Air Express" service from Shenzhen Shekou also showed growth year-on-year. Singapore emerged as the most popular destination, followed by Seoul, Bali, Bangkok, and New York. Some markets experienced rapid growth, with bookings for Manila more than doubling compared to last year, and overall bookings for U.S. routes increasing by an average of over 30% year-on-year. During the holiday period, Cathay Pacific continues to operate three round-trip flights daily between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, utilizing wide-body aircraft. Currently, the airline offers approximately 330 weekly flights connecting Hong Kong with 24 destinations in mainland China.
