From October 20 to 22, along the banks of the Huangpu River in Shanghai, the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference returns once again. Nobel laureates and Turing Award winners will take the stage to discuss the future and trends of technology, and the popular professor who "rescues" people from anxiety and involution, Macfarlane, will hold a live dialogue with Xiang Biao.

Policy focus shifts toward scenario deployment
The "AI Plus" initiative is moving from concept to industrial frontline. In August 2025, the State Council issued the Opinions on Deeply Implementing the "AI Plus" Initiative, specifying that by 2027 artificial intelligence will be broadly and deeply integrated with six key sectors, with the penetration rate of new-generation intelligent terminals and agent applications exceeding 70 percent, and exceeding 90 percent by 2030. On October 16, 2026, an executive meeting of the State Council heard a report on the progress of the "AI Plus" initiative, stressing that "artificial intelligence is a key variable affecting future development," that it is necessary to "focus on deployment applications to drive technological innovation," and to "strengthen the connection between supply and demand with the real economy as the focus," so that artificial intelligence technology can be better transformed into real productivity. The policy focus is now clear: shifting from a model race to a scenario race. The industrial foundation is being reinforced at the same time. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology disclosed that China's core artificial intelligence industry scale has exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan, with more than 6,600 artificial intelligence enterprises, and intelligent computing power reaching 2,592 EFLOPS. High-value scenarios in which artificial intelligence empowers new industrialization cover 20 sub-sectors and more than 1,000 scenarios. Policy and industry together point to one judgment: manufacturing is the main battlefield for artificial intelligence deployment, and specialized models and intelligent equipment are precisely the next-stage levers.
"AI private networks" push communication pipelines to upgrade into intelligent infrastructure
On this main line, Hytera Communications Corporation Limited (002583) offers the answer of "AI private networks." The company strategically proposed this concept in 2025, listed it as its annual development theme in 2026, and applied AI to terminal devices, network infrastructure, and command and dispatch platforms, forming a complete closed loop of "front-end intelligent collection, mid-end AI analysis, and back-end intelligent application." In terms of technical architecture, it adopts dual-model collaboration of "domestic large models plus industry small models," and relies on a self-developed AI command hub to provide standardized AI capabilities for its full series of hardware including law enforcement recorders, smart intercoms, and quadruped robots. It has already achieved practical functions such as automatic AI risk alert determination, intelligent scheduling of robots and drones, and AI voice dispatch. At the same time, the EMS smart manufacturing business has extended from traditional servers to AI terminal applications and achieved mass production delivery, laying out complete-machine assembly and structural component supply for AI inference servers, and entering the back-end computing infrastructure track.
Robot business advances toward multiple forms including quadruped, wheeled, and tracked
Robots are an important carrier for extending AI capabilities into the physical world. Hytera Communications Corporation Limited (002583) started its layout in this field relatively early. Its EMS business entered the robotics field around 2012, and in 2019 it built a robot assembly workshop. It has now achieved mass production and delivery of customer products for industrial drones, reached business cooperation with emerging humanoid robot companies, and supported mass production and delivery, while continuing to expand customers in service robots such as sweeping robots, lawn mowing robots, and companion robots. For industry applications, the company has formed multiple forms including quadruped, wheeled, and tracked. The XD-001 quadruped robot replaced personnel in entering high-risk areas during a complex-scenario emergency rescue drill for Shaanxi Coal Group, accurately locating seven trapped people. A smart station inspection solution jointly created with DEEP Robotics was piloted at the Yungu Road Station of Hefei Rail Transit. At the 2026 China (Quanzhou) Private Communications and Emergency Industry Expo, the company displayed a wheeled robot dog equipped with a pan-tilt camera and a tracked emergency rescue robot equipped with a private network communication module, and at the same time released two fully domestically developed chips: a power chip and a baseband chip.
Growth businesses enter a period of performance realization
From the perspective of financial data, investment in emerging businesses and improvement in the core business are advancing in parallel. In the first half of 2026, Hytera Communications Corporation Limited (002583) achieved operating revenue of 2.262 billion yuan, up 11.79 percent year on year after excluding the consolidation impact of its Spanish subsidiary in the same period last year. Non-recurring net profit was 94.71 million yuan, up 19.73 percent year on year, of which non-recurring net profit in the second quarter was 106 million yuan, up 69.90 percent year on year. The overall gross margin rose to 52.86 percent. As of the end of June, the company had cumulatively applied for 653 patents around growth businesses. According to the timetable in the State Council document, the "AI Plus" initiative will achieve phased goals in 2027, 2030, and 2035 in turn, and the key to industrial competition is shifting from technology availability to scenario delivery capability. For Hytera Communications Corporation Limited (002583), private network communications constitute the industry entry point, AI private networks provide analysis and decision-making capabilities, and unmanned equipment such as robots undertake on-site execution. The three have formed a relatively complete business chain. As scenarios continue to be validated and the product series improves, related businesses are expected to form replicable deployment models in fields such as public safety, emergency management, transportation, and energy, opening new space for the company's growth businesses.
