China Merchants Bank Updates Board Representation and Committee Line-up

China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd. (CM Bank) has announced two governance adjustments effective 26 August 2026.

First, Executive Director and President Mr. Wang Xiaoqing has been appointed as an authorised representative under Hong Kong Listing Rule 3.05. His mandate will run through the remainder of the 13th Board’s term, ensuring the company maintains the required two authorised representatives for its H-share listing.

Second, the board refreshed several specialised committees: • Strategy and Sustainable Development Committee – Mr. Wang joins as a member. • Nomination Committee – Mr. Wang also joins as a member. • Related Party Transactions Management and Consumer Rights Protection Committee – Mr. Zhu Eric Liwei steps down as member; Independent Non-Executive Director Dr. Wong Yuk Shan becomes chairman; Non-Executive Director Mr. Jiang Chaoyang is appointed as a member.

As of the announcement date, CM Bank’s board comprises two executive directors, seven non-executive directors, and five independent non-executive directors.
