Chow Sang Sang Necklace Price Surges 15,200 Yuan Overnight, Company Responds

Deep News01-09

On January 9, Chow Sang Sang recently officially increased the prices of some fixed-price gold jewelry items, with the hikes ranging between 200 yuan and 1,500 yuan. This marks the first public price adjustment by a mainstream Chinese gold jewelry brand since the beginning of 2026.

It is understood that the products affected by this price adjustment primarily include fixed-price items such as luck-beads, co-branded fixed-price pieces, and gold-inlaid diamond jewelry.

Some consumers discovered that, for example, the "Chow Sang Sang Gold Endless Joy Series Pearl Clover Necklace" was priced at approximately 120,800 yuan before the adjustment. Following this round of increases, its price rose to 135,940 yuan, representing a surge of nearly 15,200 yuan overnight.

In response to inquiries, the customer service of Chow Sang Sang's official flagship store stated, "The price of fixed-price goods includes the material value of the product itself, design fees, craftsmanship costs, and so on. Due to continuously rising costs, the group has uniformly adjusted the selling prices of some fixed-price jewelry items."

Regarding this specific product, whose price increased by 15,200 yuan in a single night, the customer service representative clarified: "This item is a fixed-price jewelry product. The price adjustment is determined by the group based on the jewelry's pricing and cost factors."
