MICROPORT projects 12–14% revenue growth and swing to US$24.00 million operating profit in 1H26, but expects up to US$50.00 million net loss on finance costs and one-offs

Bulletin Express08-12

MicroPort Scientific Corporation (MICROPORT) released preliminary estimates for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

Revenue and geographical mix • Management anticipates 1H26 revenue from continuing operations to rise by approximately 12–14% year on year. • Overseas sales of China-approved products are expected to surge about 140%, substantially outpacing the Group’s overall growth. • All revenue growth rates exclude currency effects.

Profitability trends • Gross profit margin for continuing operations is projected to expand by roughly 3–4 percentage points versus the prior-year period. • Operating discipline has moved the Group to a positive operating net profit of at least US$24.00 million, reversing the US$13.00 million operating loss recorded in 1H25 (restated to exclude the disposals of the NeuroScientific Group).

Bottom-line impact • Despite stronger operating performance, total finance costs of around US$43.00 million plus non-cash items—foreign-exchange movements, fair-value changes in convertible loans, and impairments—are expected to keep the Group in a net-loss position. • The net loss from continuing operations is estimated at not more than US$50.00 million, broadly in line with the US$49.00 million loss reported a year earlier.

Balance-sheet considerations • MICROPORT has secured waivers for 1H26 financial covenants linked to its convertible-loan agreements. Management intends to continue the “focus on core” strategy, seek strategic remedies for non-core or loss-making units, and optimise debt structure and terms.

Reporting timeline The figures are based on unaudited management accounts. Detailed interim results are scheduled for release by end-August 2026. Investors are urged to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s securities until the final numbers are published.
