Recent weeks have seen a cluster of flagship model launches in the automotive sector, with particular attention drawn to the overlapping and subsequent rescheduling of the AITO M9 and the NIO ES9 unveiling events.

The AITO M9 launch was initially scheduled for 19:00 on May 27, while the NIO ES9 event was set for 19:30 on the same day, creating a significant overlap in timing.

Shortly before the events, Harmony Intelligent Driving Alliance announced a change in the AITO M9 series new product launch time to 14:30 on May 27. The official reason provided was "to deliver a better experience for everyone." External observers speculated that the move was intended to avoid a direct clash between the two competing products.

In terms of product positioning and pricing, the two models are direct competitors, both positioned as flagship SUVs. The NIO ES9 starts at 498,000 yuan, while the AITO M9 starts at 479,800 yuan.
