Pork Prices in National Wholesale Markets Dip to 14.68 Yuan per Kilogram on May 21

According to monitoring data, the "200 Index for Agricultural Product Wholesale Prices" stood at 114.05 on May 21, a decrease of 0.09 points from the previous day. The wholesale price index for "Basket of Goods" products was 114.29, down 0.11 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork in national agricultural product wholesale markets was 14.68 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 0.7% compared to yesterday. Beef was priced at 66.36 yuan per kilogram, down 0.4%; mutton at 63.46 yuan per kilogram, down 0.9%; eggs at 9.38 yuan per kilogram, up 0.5%; and dressed chicken at 17.18 yuan per kilogram, up 2.3%. The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.14 yuan per kilogram, an increase of 0.5% from yesterday. The average price for six key monitored fruits was 7.78 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3%. Crucian carp was priced at 20.24 yuan per kilogram, up 0.5%; carp at 14.96 yuan per kilogram, down 0.2%; silver carp at 10.47 yuan per kilogram, up 5.4%; and large hairtail at 40.80 yuan per kilogram, down 0.7%. Among the 46 key monitored varieties in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today, the top five price increases compared to yesterday were silver carp, cabbage, pineapple, scallion, and bighead carp, with increases of 5.4%, 3.5%, 3.1%, 3.1%, and 2.6%, respectively. The top five price declines were large yellow croaker, lettuce, watermelon, carrot, and white radish, with decreases of 3.5%, 1.8%, 1.6%, 1.2%, and 1.1%, respectively.
