The bid evaluation results for the construction and equity investment project of the East Waterway Navigation Bridge of the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel have been publicly announced.
Project Overview
The route of the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel Project starts at the Xiaohai Interchange where the Shenyang-Haikou Expressway (G15) intersects with the Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway (G40), runs southwest along the Tongqi Canal, passes through the Jiada Port Area south of Tongfu South Road in Nantong City, then continuously crosses the Tongzhousha East Waterway, Tongzhousha sand body, and Tongzhousha West Waterway of the Yangtze River, lands at the Changyinsha Modern Agriculture Demonstration Zone in Zhangjiagang, Suzhou, proceeds south through Nanfeng Town in Zhangjiagang City and Haiyu Town in Changshu City, and then forms an interchange with the Shanghai-Wuhan Expressway (G4221), terminating at National Highway 204.
The total route length is 42.951 kilometers, of which the river-crossing section and approach bridges total 14.868 kilometers (East Waterway Navigation Bridge 3.810 kilometers, West Waterway Bridge 1.800 kilometers, and approach bridges 9.258 kilometers), the north connecting line is 11.109 kilometers, and the south connecting line is 16.974 kilometers.
The East Waterway Navigation Bridge of the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel adopts an integrated steel box girder cable-stayed suspension cooperation system bridge scheme with a beam span arrangement of 310+178+422+2300+422+178 meters and a cable span arrangement of 1050+2300+800 meters. Both the south and north anchorages adopt frame-type anchor body structures, with the north anchorage using a caisson foundation and the south anchorage using a composite foundation diaphragm wall foundation.
Scope of Bidding
This bidding project covers the construction and equity investment project of the East Waterway Navigation Bridge of the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel, comprising a total of 2 contract sections, namely ST-A2 and ST-A3.
The scope of Contract Section ST-A2 includes: construction of the D1#~D2# piers of the East Waterway Navigation Bridge, the north cable tower and the Z-2#~Z-3# pier foundations of the north approach bridge, substructures, ancillary facilities, and reserved embedded parts; construction of the Z-0#~Z-1# pier substructures, ancillary facilities, and reserved embedded parts of the north approach bridge; as well as equity investment in the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel Project.
The scope of Contract Section ST-A3 includes: construction of the south cable tower of the East Waterway Navigation Bridge, the D5#~D6# piers and the T-1# pier foundation of the Tongzhousha approach bridge, substructures, ancillary facilities, and reserved embedded parts; construction of the T-2#~T-3# pier substructures, ancillary facilities, and reserved embedded parts of the Tongzhousha approach bridge; construction of the south anchorage of the East Waterway Navigation Bridge (excluding anchorage structures such as the anchorage chamber roof and anchorage chamber front wall that are affected by superstructure construction); as well as equity investment in the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel Project.
Equity Investment Plan
The Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel Project will be divided into several contract sections for construction and equity investment bidding. Nantong Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu SuTong Bridge Co., Ltd., and Suzhou SuTong Second River Crossing Channel Investment Co., Ltd. have jointly contributed capital to establish Jiangsu SuTong Second River Crossing Channel Co., Ltd. (the project company name for the Suzhou-Nantong Second River Crossing Channel Project).
After the completion of this bidding, the equity investors committed by the winning bidders will make equity investments in the project company through capital increase and share expansion, complete the capital increase in the required amount, and cooperate to complete industrial and commercial registration changes and other related work.
The capital contribution plan of Jiangsu SuTong Second River Crossing Channel Co., Ltd. stipulates that before the agreed time, each equity investor, Nantong Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu SuTong Bridge Co., Ltd., and Suzhou SuTong Second River Crossing Channel Investment Co., Ltd. shall complete their capital contributions in stages according to their respective equity proportions. The specific fund arrival plan is detailed in the Capital Contribution Agreement.
Planned Construction Period
The planned construction period is approximately 50 months. The specific commencement time shall be subject to the commencement notice issued by the supervising engineer.
