During the 2026 Yunqi Conference, Alibaba Cloud's T-Head division announced that the Lingjun Zhenwu M890 supernode instance, designated GP9A, is now offering external services. This marks the first supernode-based computing architecture in China capable of stably handling large-scale models exceeding two trillion parameters.
The GP9A single-node instance supports cluster configurations of up to one hundred thousand accelerators. It has already been deployed in production environments to run advanced frontier models, including Qwen3.8-Max and Kimi K3, operating with consistent stability.
This supernode integrates chip, server, and operational model layers into a fully coordinated stack. The achievement signifies that domestic AI accelerators have transitioned from demonstrating isolated performance benchmarks to delivering full-scale system readiness.
According to Alibaba Cloud's statement, the Lingjun Zhenwu M890 supernode has completed a pivotal transition. It has evolved from merely being usable to becoming a production-grade computing system that can effectively support cutting-edge large models in real-world operational settings.
