Dreame Technology has issued a statement on pursuing legal action against organized online trolls for infringement. The company noted that multiple online platforms recently witnessed systematic and large-scale efforts by paid commentators to manipulate reviews and disparage the brand. In response, Dreame Technology has collaborated with relevant authorities to conduct investigations and gather evidence in several locations.
According to statements from individuals involved, including Tang and Ji, they were hired and directed by a troll farm seeking improper profits. Their tasks involved fabricating false product experience claims and posting bulk misleading reviews. This organization recruited groups such as students and unemployed individuals, distributing tasks through online platforms. Without having purchased or used the relevant brand's robotic vacuum cleaners, these hired individuals were paid 3 yuan per post to mass-produce and publish fake comments in Dreame-related comment sections. Examples included posts such as, "Just go for the Ecovacs T80s with your eyes closed! The ultimate sweep-and-mop machine in the 3,000 yuan price range."
Those involved have since acknowledged their misconduct and are actively providing information to assist authorities in the ongoing investigation. Dreame Technology stated, "We will continue to use legal measures to protect our legitimate rights and interests against any organized paid posting, malicious marketing, or commercial defamation by troll farms and promoters. We are fully cooperating with relevant departments to ensure legal enforcement and accountability."
