The Japanese stock market may see an upturn following a recent sell-off in technology shares. Nikkei index futures on the Singapore Exchange opened at 65,155 points, marking an increase of 340 points from Monday's level and a rise of 1,170 points from Friday's close. Japanese markets were closed on Monday for a national holiday. Investors are closely monitoring developments in the Middle East, after the U.S. military stated on Monday that it had launched a new round of strikes aimed at further degrading Iran's capability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The Nikkei index fell 4.0% on Friday to close at 64,141.12 points.
