On the evening of May 13th, the Fifth Nanchang Art Season Cultural Gala was brilliantly staged at the Nanchang Honggutan Grand Theatre. This artistic feast, blending traditional heritage with contemporary spirit, centrally showcased the recent developmental achievements in the cultural and artistic sectors of the "Heroic City."
The event was organized by the Nanchang Municipal Committee Propaganda Department, the Nanchang Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau, and the Nanchang Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Internet celebrities, figures from the university art community, and representatives of the public gathered together for this artistic rendezvous.
The gala revolved around the core imagery of "Spring," structured into four major chapters: "Spring Awakens: Gan River," "Legacy Inherited: Yuzhang," "Imprint Carved: Hongdu," and "Chasing Light: Nanchang." The program featured a rich variety of forms, encompassing dance, singing, recitation, and instrumental performances, among other categories. The opening ballet "Spring Awakens" depicted the vibrant vitality of earth rejuvenating through dance. The song "Resting in the Shade of Grain" conveyed people's yearning for a better life. The erhu performance "Brewing Spring" used music as a brush to sketch a poetic picture of brewing tea in springtime.
It is understood that the Nanchang Art Season, launched in 2022, has now reached its fifth consecutive edition. Centering on significant historical milestones such as the centenary of the Communist Party of China and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, Nanchang has created and produced a series of high-quality literary and artistic works. Data shows that the first four editions of the Nanchang Art Season cumulatively hosted 88 artistic events, created 62 stage art productions, held 107 various calligraphy and painting exhibitions, produced 880 calligraphy and painting works, and received a total of 73 national-level honors.
According to the organizers, the Fifth Nanchang Art Season plans to carry out 42 various activities throughout the year. Through the creation and production of artistic masterpieces and events, it aims to further amplify the city's brand as "an ecological city of abundant natural treasures, a heroic Nanchang of outstanding talent."
