Great Wall Fund's "Investment Guidebook" Initiative Promotes Financial Literacy at Futian CBD Night School

Deep News11-14

In response to the Asset Management Association of China's "One Fund, One Province, One University" campaign, Great Wall Fund has extended its investor education efforts to diverse settings, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive finance. Recently, the fund's educational program "Investment Guidebook" was introduced at a night school in Shenzhen's Futian CBD, offering young professionals a session titled "New Macro Landscape, Fresh Investment Opportunities." The initiative aimed to enhance financial literacy among young investors through accessible and practical knowledge, fulfilling the fund's investor education responsibilities.

The session was led by Wang Li, a senior macro strategist at Great Wall Fund and host of the "Investment Guidebook" program. Addressing the practical needs of young professionals regarding market trends and asset allocation, Wang Li provided in-depth analysis across three key areas: evolving investment landscapes amid global macroeconomic shifts, emerging opportunities under China's 15th Five-Year Plan, and strategic outlooks for year-end portfolio adjustments. The interactive discussion also tackled common investment challenges and financial topics, fostering lively engagement. Attendees received educational materials such as the "Fixed Income Handbook" and anti-fraud leaflets to bolster awareness of financial scams and improve risk management skills.

With growing retail participation in equity markets, young investors—often lacking systematic financial knowledge—have become a significant demographic. Launched in July 2023, the "Investment Guidebook" live-streamed series bridges this gap by delivering expert insights on macro trends and market developments, alongside guest appearances by seasoned fund managers and analysts. To date, the program has aired 65 episodes with over 10 million views, earning recognition as a go-to resource for young investors.

Amid the push for high-quality development in China's mutual fund industry, investor education remains pivotal to fostering a mature market ecosystem. Great Wall Fund has expanded its outreach through initiatives like "Finance 101" (basic financial literacy), "Industry Deep-Dive Tours" (on-the-ground sector research), and "Rural Financial Quotient" (risk education for rural communities), ensuring inclusive finance reaches diverse groups from students to rural residents.

Moving forward, Great Wall Fund pledges to refine its investor-centric approach, evolving both content and delivery methods to instill long-term, value-driven investment philosophies—contributing to a healthier capital market landscape.
