Daily Liquor Price Report for June 4th: Qinghua Lang Down by 4 Yuan

Deep News06-04 09:20

Data from the past 24 hours indicates that the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products showed significant weakness on June 4th. The total price for a bundle of one bottle of each major product today is 9,900 yuan, a sharp decline of 25 yuan from yesterday, erasing all of the previous day's gains. After a brief rebound from lows the prior day, the market quickly turned downward again, with sentiment at the retail level turning cautious. Among the top ten varieties, only Xijiu Junpin recorded a minor increase, while the rest fell or remained flat.

Of the 11 major products tracked, one rose, nine fell, and one was unchanged, with declines dominating the session. On the upside, Xijiu Junpin edged up by 1 yuan per bottle, marking its fourth consecutive day of gains and gradually recovering from its monthly low. On the downside, Wuliangye Puwu 8th Generation and Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 led the declines, each falling by 5 yuan per bottle. The former hit a new monthly low price after three consecutive down days, continuing a clear downward trend over the past month. Qinghua Fen 20 and Qinghua Lang both decreased by 4 yuan per bottle. The former gave back all of its prior day's gains, falling back to its monthly low, while the latter set a new monthly low price record. Feitian Moutai, Jingpin Moutai, and Crystal Jiannanchun each dropped by 2 yuan per bottle. Wuliangye 1618 and Guojiao 1573 both saw minor declines of 1 yuan per bottle. The price for Yanghe Mengzhilan M6+ remained unchanged from the previous day.

The daily pricing data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide. These points include, but are not limited to, designated distributors, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data consists of actual, transacted terminal retail prices from these locations over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide an objective, scientific, and fully traceable dataset on the market prices of well-known baijiu brands. The influence of the new official "i Moutai" sales channel, which began offering Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan/bottle (adjusted to 1,539 yuan/bottle on March 31st) and Jingpin Moutai at 2,299 yuan/bottle (adjusted to 2,359 yuan/bottle on May 16th), is gradually becoming apparent in the average terminal retail prices for these two products. The daily published prices follow a calculation rule weighted by actual transaction volumes, and the confirmed prices from this channel have been incorporated into the calculations for these two products' terminal retail averages.

In other significant baijiu industry news, JD.com's liquor business department released a "618 Grand Opening Sales Report" this past Tuesday, highlighting premium brands led by Moutai. Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. topped both the baijiu brand sales ranking and the aged liquor brand sales ranking, with several Moutai products seeing explosive growth in transaction value. Data shows that from 8 PM on May 30th to midnight on June 1st, overall sales volume for premium liquor on JD.com increased by 40% year-over-year. Within the baijiu brand sales ranking, Kweichow Moutai Co.,Ltd. ranked first. It also secured the top spot in the aged liquor brand sales ranking.
