Opening Bell: Domestic Futures Contracts Mixed, Lithium Carbonate Hits Limit-Up

During the morning session on January 12, 2026, domestic futures main contracts opened with mixed performance. Lithium carbonate hit the upside limit, gaining 9%, while Shanghai silver surged over 10%. Platinum and palladium both rose more than 5%, and Shanghai tin increased over 3%. SC crude oil, Shanghai nickel, PX, PTA, styrene (EB), and coking coal all advanced more than 2%. On the downside, fuel oil fell over 2%, with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), glass, and cotton declining more than 1%.
