Lianyungang Railway Station Goes All Out to Assist Delayed Train, Receives Passenger Praise

Deep News12-15

On December 13, due to the combined impact of cold air from the north and warm, humid air currents from the southwest, the D2921 train from Zibo North to Shanghai experienced a significant delay while passing through Gaomi. It was estimated to arrive at Lianyungang Station 1 hour and 48 minutes behind schedule, with passengers facing shortages of food and drinking water.

After the train conductor on duty reported the situation to Lianyungang Railway Station, Deputy Station Master Yang Jingang quickly activated an emergency response plan. Together with Station Duty Manager Xu Xiangyong, he coordinated with Huatie Travel Service to prepare 800 boxed meals and 10 crates of bottled water, which were promptly delivered to the platform to await the train's arrival.

At approximately 12:42 PM, the D2921 train arrived at Lianyungang Station. Following the emergency plan, station staff completed the handover of supplies with the train conductor in just two minutes. Passengers expressed deep gratitude for the station's swift response and timely provision of emergency food and water.

The efficient handling of the situation by Lianyungang Railway Station has been widely praised, demonstrating the station's commitment to passenger welfare during unexpected disruptions.
