Lvji Tech Delivers 34% Interim Profit Growth Despite Margin Compression and Tight Liquidity

Bulletin Express09-25

Lvji Tech reported interim revenue of RMB 341.24 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, an 11.9% year-on-year increase driven chiefly by a rebound in China’s tourism market and a larger online tour-guide portfolio, which expanded 29% to 97,815 guides.

Gross profit slipped 10.6% to RMB 76.83 million as amortisation of newly developed content reduced the gross margin to 22.5% from 28.2% a year earlier. Nonetheless, disciplined cost controls—selling and distribution expenses fell 28.5% to RMB 2.28 million and administrative expenses dropped 25.7% to RMB 7.47 million—supported a 34.0% rise in net profit to RMB 75.12 million. Net profit margin improved to 22.0% from 18.4%.

Other gains of RMB 38.71 million (2025: RMB 2.47 million) were mainly fuelled by fair-value increases on financial assets, offsetting the lower gross margin. Finance costs decreased 38.2% to RMB 1.94 million following reduced borrowing costs.

The balance sheet showed cash and cash equivalents of RMB 249.41 million, up from RMB 193.01 million at end-2025, aided by net operating cash inflow of RMB 251.53 million. Net current liabilities widened to RMB 26.42 million, reflecting higher trade payables linked to stronger sales. Total borrowings rose to RMB 92.01 million, pushing the gearing ratio to 7.1%.

Post-period, Lvji Tech completed a 50-to-1 share consolidation effective 29 July 2026 and disclosed plans to offload non-performing debt assets for RMB 85.00 million. Management changes included the resignation of Executive Director Liu Hui and the appointment of Bu Jiale to the board.

The board declared no interim dividend, prioritising cash for strategic initiatives and working-capital needs.
