Hong Kong – King’s Flair International (Holdings) Limited reported markedly improved profitability for the six months ended 30 June 2026, as tighter cost control and property revaluation gains offset softer top-line performance in a challenging global trading environment.
Financial performance • Revenue dipped 8.4% year on year to HK$228.88 million, reflecting weaker demand for raw materials and lingering trade uncertainties. • Gross profit rose 16.1% to HK$59.34 million; gross margin expanded to 25.9% from 20.5%, aided by raw-material savings and production optimisation. • Loss attributable to shareholders narrowed to HK$12.38 million from HK$40.98 million a year earlier. Basic and diluted loss per share improved to 1.8 HK cents (1H 2025: 5.9 HK cents). • Other income swung to a HK$8.53 million gain (1H 2025: HK$6.83 million loss), mainly on a HK$6.10 million fair-value uplift of investment properties. • Operating cost discipline was evident: administrative expenses fell 12.3% to HK$57.38 million, while finance costs dropped 32.2% to HK$2.29 million.
Segment trends • Kitchenware and household products revenue increased 5.0% to HK$226.80 million, contributing 99% of group sales. Segment loss narrowed sharply to HK$8.74 million (1H 2025: HK$45.43 million). • Raw-material sales plunged 93.9% to HK$2.08 million, turning the segment to a HK$1.46 million loss versus a HK$4.39 million profit a year earlier. • Geographically, Asia overtook the United States as the largest market, generating HK$106.91 million, or 46.7% of total revenue. Sales to the U.S. slid to HK$64.39 million, while Europe contributed HK$55.28 million.
Balance-sheet highlights • Cash and bank balances stood at HK$143.60 million, up 17.6% from end-2025. • Interest-bearing borrowings and bank overdrafts totalled HK$98.88 million. Operational developments The group advanced its “core value transformation” by: 1. Streamlining manufacturing operations and activating a nano production line at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate for higher-margin, proprietary products. 2. Expanding design and marketing consultancy services to support brand development. 3. Continuing cost-containment measures that lowered staff costs to HK$29.12 million (-6.1% year on year).
Corporate actions On 5 June 2026 King’s Flair agreed to sell its entire stake in Golden Well Ventures Limited to Eagle Action Limited, a company wholly owned by Chairman and CEO Dr. Wong Siu Wah. The disposal, classified as a major and connected transaction, awaits shareholder approval; completion is expected on 28 August 2026.
Outlook Management intends to reinforce its market position by focusing on high-margin product lines, incorporating eco-friendly and nano-enabled materials, and strengthening supply-chain resilience. Continuous efficiency initiatives and technology-driven manufacturing upgrades are expected to support long-term growth.
