U.S. Soybean Export Inspections Reach 655,294 Tons for Week Ending May 7

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's export inspections report, the volume of U.S. soybean export inspections increased by 30% compared to the previous week and rose 49% from the same period last year. For the week ending May 7, 2026, U.S. soybean export inspections totaled 655,294 tons. This follows a revised figure of 505,468 tons for the prior week and compares to 439,814 tons during the corresponding week a year earlier.

Prior to the report's release, analysts had anticipated soybean export inspections to be around 530,000 tons.

Cumulative U.S. soybean export inspections for the 2025/26 marketing year to date have reached 33,980,204 tons. This represents a decrease of 22.7% compared to the same point last year. The year-on-year decline was 23.5% last week and 24.0% two weeks prior.

Year-to-date soybean exports for the 2025/26 season have achieved 81.1% of the USDA's full-year export target, an increase from 79.4% reported the previous week.
