HSBC (00005.HK) Launches USD8.00 Billion Senior Unsecured Notes; Tenors Stretch to 2037

HSBC Holdings plc (stock code: 00005) announced the issuance of four tranches of senior unsecured notes with a combined principal of USD8.00 billion under its 26 August 2009 indenture, most recently supplemented on 10 March 2026.

• USD2.00 billion 4.398% fixed-to-floating rate notes due 2030 • USD2.00 billion 4.675% fixed-to-floating rate notes due 2032 • USD2.75 billion 5.279% fixed-to-floating rate notes due 2037 • USD1.25 billion floating rate notes due 2032

Coupon payments on the fixed-to-floating tranches will transition to floating rates after the initial fixed-rate periods. All notes rank senior and unsecured obligations of HSBC Holdings plc.

HSBC intends to list the new issues on the New York Stock Exchange. The offering was executed off an effective shelf registration statement on Form F-3 filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

As of 31 December 2025, HSBC reported total assets of USD3,233 billion and operates across 56 countries and territories.
