Deep News16:31

On November 3, according to a report from Financial Frontline, CITIC BANK (ASX: 00998) held its third-quarter 2026 results briefing today.

The head of the finance and accounting department stated that CITIC BANK (ASX: 601998) has always placed great emphasis on managing operating costs, with the core management objective being to continuously improve the efficiency of input and output.

In terms of specific implementation approaches, management will be strengthened in two key areas: first, focusing on optimized allocation, adjusting resource arrangements in accordance with the principles of forward-looking vision, overall perspective, and effectiveness, so as to safeguard strategic resource investment; second, strengthening proactive management, continuing to deepen special cost controls in key areas including physical branches and general administrative expenses, and reducing inefficient and ineffective input.

The official stated that going forward, as the bank's net operating income growth recovers and the effectiveness of cost control continues to be unleashed, the full-year cost-to-income ratio is expected to decline compared with 2025.
