New Oriental-S (09901) extended its rally, climbing over 5% before settling at a 3.84% gain to HK$47.04, with trading volume reaching HK$112 million.
The company's latest financial results show that in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, New Oriental-S generated net revenue of US$1.5295 billion, a 23.0% year-on-year increase. Net profit attributable to shareholders stood at US$62.2 million, soaring 775.8% from the prior year. For the full fiscal 2026 year, revenue reached US$5.661 billion, up 15.5%, while net profit attributable to shareholders was US$475 million, reflecting a 27.8% increase.
A report from CLSA highlighted that New Oriental shares rose after the earnings release, with both results and forward guidance surpassing market expectations. Management expressed confidence in the growth drivers of the K12 segment, noting improved student retention rates and a more moderate competitive landscape for summer programs compared to last year. The outlook for profit margins is optimistic, as the company expects cost-control measures to yield greater benefits than in the previous year.
