During an expanded meeting of the company's leadership, a representative from the relevant bureau of the Central Organization Department, entrusted by its leadership, announced the decision of the Communist Party of China Central Committee regarding the adjustment of the General Manager position at COSCO Shipping Group. Lin Ji has been appointed as Director, General Manager, and Deputy Party Secretary of China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited. Concurrently, Zhu Bixin has been relieved of his roles as Director, General Manager, and Deputy Party Secretary of the group. These appointments and removals will be processed in accordance with relevant laws and the company's charter.

This includes a container fleet of 3.631 million TEUs across 595 vessels, positioning it among the world's leaders. Its dry bulk fleet capacity is 51.2 million deadweight tons across 477 vessels; its tanker and gas carrier fleet capacity is 30.65 million deadweight tons across 261 vessels; and its miscellaneous and special cargo fleet capacity is 11.39 million deadweight tons across 260 vessels, all ranking first in the world.
Lin Ji is a veteran who grew within the COSCO Shipping Group system, having held executive positions in regional companies such as COSCO Africa and COSCO Europe. He is skilled in the international operations of shipping enterprises and possesses extensive management experience. During his tenure as President of COSCO Shipping (Europe) Co., Ltd., COSCO Shipping Group formally took over the operations of the Port of Piraeus, which was the group's first overseas acquisition project after its establishment. While serving as Vice President of COSCO Shipping Group, Lin Ji frequently participated in or attended various domestic and international port and shipping forums, including the North Bund International Shipping Forum. His international perspective and management capabilities align with the development needs of COSCO Shipping Group as a global shipping conglomerate.

He has 30 years of experience in shipping enterprise management. His previous roles include Deputy Director of the Secretariat Office and Deputy Director (in charge) of the Advisory Office within the President's Affairs Department of COSCO Group, Deputy Director of the Research Center, Director of the Party Committee Office, General Manager of COSCO Africa Co., Ltd., General Manager and Deputy Party Secretary of Xiamen Ocean Shipping Company, President of COSCO Europe Ltd., President and Chairman of COSCO Shipping (Europe) Co., Ltd. He has served as Vice President and Party Leadership Group Member of COSCO Shipping Group since June 2022.
