The Japanese yen has extended its intraday losses, breaking through the key level of 163 yen per US dollar, as the US dollar gained strength alongside rising US Treasury yields and oil prices.
The USD/JPY pair rose by 0.3%, reaching a high of 163.04, while the US Dollar Spot Index increased by 0.2%, marking its highest intraday level in a week.
