The second phase of the 140th Canton Fair entered its final day on October 27. Moving from the first phase's focus on "advanced manufacturing" to this phase's theme of "quality home living," a large number of "China-made smart" products were showcased in a concentrated manner, unlocking new consumer experiences and demonstrating a clear character of being people-oriented and serving daily life.

Making coffee, tidying up rooms, cleaning swimming pools, delivering items... At the 140th Canton Fair, various "capable" service robots were unveiled in a concentrated manner, able to enter households and genuinely lend people a hand.

At the roughly 600-square-meter booth of Haier Group, the AI household robot "Haiwa" repeatedly drew praise from overseas buyers. It can autonomously complete a series of household chores: gathering dirty clothes left on the sofa, delivering them to the washing machine, then transferring them to the dryer, and finally putting them away; transporting identified fresh ingredients to the refrigerator and placing them in appropriate categorized positions... Zhang Qingfu, Vice President of Haier Overseas Electric Appliances Industrial Co., Ltd., said that "Haiwa" is not a standalone product but rather, by linking with home appliance hardware, creates a complete smart living solution for users, sharing the burden of people's daily trivial household chores.

Some cleaning tasks have also become simpler thanks to robotic empowerment. The reporter observed that many buyers gathered around a small "swimming pool," where a pool cleaning robot shuttled back and forth. "It doesn't walk randomly but autonomously plans the optimal cleaning path in its 'brain'..." Feng Yang, Executive President of Daisylake Technology Group Co., Ltd., introduced to overseas buyers a smart wireless pool cleaning robot that can fully automatically complete pool cleaning from start to finish.

As a bellwether of China's foreign trade, the Canton Fair has set up a service robot zone since its 137th edition, with an increasing number of domestic robots reaching overseas markets through this platform. Many overseas buyers are not just "looking at novelties and taking photos before leaving," but through pragmatic negotiations and on-site factory visits, they are converting their recognition of China's robot technology and solutions into tangible orders.

Ahmed Sobhy Mohamed, a buyer from Egypt, said: "The main purpose of my visit to the Canton Fair this time is to examine AI robots. I want to bring these Chinese products back home, and I believe they will be welcomed by the market."

At this edition of the Canton Fair, many daily necessities, furniture, and other exhibits have been equipped with "AI brains" and "AI eyes." Through manufacturers' innovations in subtle details, they bring users a more comfortable experience.

At the booth of Sichuan Deep Sleep Smart Home Co., Ltd., overseas buyers lined up to lie on various smart mattresses, experiencing the massage rhythms at different frequencies. Company Chairman Yin Boru introduced that through this kind of "sleep-inducing" massage, combined with multiple sensors inside the mattress that monitor heart rate and record the number of turns, the product helps different groups of people improve their sleep. Currently, the products are gradually opening up overseas markets, primarily in Europe.

"For scenarios where outdoor activities make it inconvenient to use both hands, we utilized a magnetic suction lid design to innovatively develop this thermos cup that can be easily opened with one hand," said Zhang Bin, General Manager of Shanghai Solid Stainless Steel Products Co., Ltd. He said the product was globally premiered at the Canton Fair, hoping to show new and old overseas customers the company's ultimate pursuit of the people-oriented concept.

Many water-saving bathroom products attracted buyers' attention with their practical innovations. "The core highlight of this outdoor massage pool is our independently developed electric insulated cover, designed to meet users' needs for heat preservation and water saving," said Huang Jie'en, Sales Director of Guangdong Foshan Gaoming Yuehua Sanitary Ware Co., Ltd., while operating and introducing the company's product. "The cover can automatically rise and lower. When closed, the pool body is completely sealed. Combined with the foam insulation layer in the middle of the cover, it can effectively reduce water and heat loss, which means it can lower the cost of adding water and heating."

Huang Jie'en stated that over the five days of the exhibition, the company received more than 70 intended orders from multiple countries and regions around the world, with order amounts exceeding 3 million yuan, and more than a dozen customers even purchased samples on-site.

Mike van der Vooren, a buyer from the Netherlands, said that Chinese home appliances and other products have done very well in intelligent upgrading and are highly competitive in the international market. Canadian buyer Rabih Zanan said, "What makes Chinese products impressive is that they can bring technology to the ground and achieve mass production and popularization."

Zhu Yong, Director of the China Foreign Trade Centre, stated that the second phase of the Canton Fair's export exhibition featured approximately 11,000 participating companies and showcased 2.376 million products. Through the Canton Fair, a batch of "China-made smart" products that are "green-oriented" and "innovation-oriented" are being seen by more consumers around the world, injecting new experiences into building a better life.
