On December 24, the Lhasa Municipal Government and PetroChina Tibet Branch held a signing ceremony for a cooperation framework agreement. Wang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Lhasa Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and Dong Hai, Executive Director and Party Secretary of PetroChina Tibet Branch, attended and witnessed the event.
Wang Qiang expressed gratitude for PetroChina Tibet Branch's long-term contributions to Lhasa's economic and social development. He noted that the company, rooted in the frontier region, has played a vital role in ensuring energy supply, meeting public needs, and protecting the ecological environment, demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of a state-owned enterprise.
Wang emphasized that the agreement marks a new starting point for joint efforts to strengthen the "dual safeguards" of energy security and market regulation, standardize refined oil market order and data monitoring, and ensure stable energy market operations. Both parties will also work together to drive the "dual engines" of green transformation and industrial upgrading, optimize core operations, explore new sectors, and actively foster new quality productive forces. Additionally, they will build "dual bridges" for local-enterprise collaboration and livelihood security by integrating Lhasa's specialty products and agricultural goods into PetroChina's sales platform, ensuring broader benefits for local communities.
Dong Hai thanked the Lhasa government for its trust and support, reaffirming PetroChina Tibet Branch's commitment to its political, economic, and social responsibilities as a central enterprise in Tibet. He pledged to deepen practical cooperation across multiple fields, contributing further to Lhasa's long-term stability and high-quality development.
