Cinven to acquire Theramex for 2.6 billion euros

Stock News17:09

Private equity firm Cinven plans to acquire women's health pharmaceutical company Theramex from Carlyle and PAI Partners for 2.6 billion euros.

Carlyle and PAI purchased the company from CVC for approximately 1.2 billion euros in 2022, and this transaction values Theramex at more than double their purchase price.

According to public information, Theramex is headquartered in London, UK, and focuses on the women's health sector, with products covering contraception, fertility, menopause health, and osteoporosis treatment, operating in more than 80 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

The company was established by CVC in 2018 after spinning off its women's health pharmaceutical portfolio, and during their ownership period, Carlyle and PAI drove the company to achieve double-digit growth in revenue and EBITDA.
