To deepen police camp cultural development, enrich the cultural life of officers and staff, and comprehensively strengthen the sense of community for the Chinese nation, further uniting the team's cohesion and combat effectiveness, on July 24th, the Lanzhou Immigration Inspection Station partnered with the Gansu Provincial Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe to host a themed cultural performance titled "Pomegranate Cup · Longyuan Ethnic Bonds" and "High Art into the Police Camp."
The event brought together all officers and staff of the Lanzhou Border Inspection Station along with representatives from local government agencies and joint inspection units, who gathered to enjoy an ethnic cultural feast and strengthen the deep bond between the police and the public. Using art as a bridge, with the core theme of fostering a sense of community for the Chinese nation, the show delivered an immersive ethnic cultural audio-visual experience, striking a chord for police-local integration, ethnic unity, and shared development.
The performance kicked off with the opening dance "Blossoming Home of China." The dancers' movements were expansive and graceful, vividly portraying the scene of different ethnic groups supporting each other and building a shared homeland. Subsequently, various programs including choir, solos, and ethnic dances took turns on stage, showcasing diverse artistic forms that depict the unity and common prosperity of ethnic groups across the Longyuan region.
Lead dancer Lu Xinyang remarked after the performance, "Immigration management police officers steadfastly guard the frontline at ports, sacrificing their small families for the big picture, silently protecting the peace of one area. It is an honor and privilege for us artists to enter the police camp and pay tribute to the guardians of the national gate with ethnic art."
Red-themed melodies recalled the eventful years, while heartfelt songs celebrated ordinary heroes. Solo female vocalist Zhang Shuxia expressed, "The guardians of the national gate, standing firm at their posts and silently dedicating themselves, are the most beautiful scenery of this city. I hope to convey the highest respect to all immigration management police officers through my songs."
After watching the show, Deputy Director of the Station's Political Office, Xu Yiqian, said, "Enjoying a professional ethnic art performance up close provided great relaxation. Amidst the intense work schedule, it brought a strong sense of humanistic care."
The male solo performances "Father's Prayer Beads" and "Home of Love" featured a mellow and profound style, rich with ethnic homeland sentiment and familial warmth. Vocalist Ang Jie stated, "Ethnic unity is the lifeline. The border inspection team, by guarding the national gate and ensuring safety, is essentially protecting the happy homes of all ethnic groups."
The energetic male-female group dance "Girls' Chase" was vibrant with ethnic flavor and full of vitality, igniting the atmosphere. Lead dancer Ma Xuan said, "The cultures of various ethnic groups are colorful and intertwined. Entering the police camp today, we truly felt the loyalty, responsibility, and uplifting spirit of the national gate guardians."
The two songs "Remembering Comrades in Arms" and "Waiting for Your Return" were deeply moving, evoking the bond of comradeship and solidarity, precisely touching the real sentiments of the immigration management team's long-term dedication and loyal service. Vocalist An Xuegang expressed, "Comradeship and national responsibility are the most touching colors. I hope this song can pay tribute to every guardian of the national gate who stands firm on the frontline and silently dedicates themselves."
A highlight of the performance was the original work "Glory of the National Gate" by Lanzhou Border Inspection Station officer Bai Yandi. Based on frontline port duty, it conveyed the heartfelt mission of immigration management police rooted in Longyuan, steadfast at the national gate, and dedicated to their duties. Bai Yandi said, "As an immigration management police officer, I have personally experienced and witnessed the sense of responsibility for the national gate. I hope through original works to tell the story of Lanzhou border inspection and showcase the youthful spirit of the new-era immigration management team."
The Baolege Band passionately performed "Praise Song" and "Spring," with their powerful and stirring melodies celebrating the prosperous era. Band member Shuang Long noted, "The police camp operates with rigorous discipline and strict regulations. The officers' loyalty, responsibility, and selfless dedication deeply moved and inspired us during this camp performance."
The performance concluded with all actors performing the grand dance "Affectionate as One Family," with stirring melodies, orderly formations, and a vibrant spirit, perfectly embodying the theme of ethnic groups clinging together like pomegranate seeds in unity and shared progress, ending with prolonged, warm applause.
The entire show was thematically clear, rich in content, and diverse in form, integrating red heritage, ethnic characteristics, national gate responsibility, and youthful vigor. It served both as a cultural enrichment of high art entering the police camp and as a vivid and lively educational lesson on ethnic unity. Young officer Wang Xiangyu, who watched the performance, deeply reflected, "This cultural performance warmed our hearts and inspired us. It not only relieved the pressure of duty and enriched camp life but also made us feel the understanding and support from all sectors of society for immigration management work. From now on, I will turn this emotion and inspiration into work motivation, stay at my post, fulfill my duties, and protect port peace and stability with even greater passion."

Through this performance, I wish to bring warmth and blessings to the immigration management police who persist in their hard work," said Yang Gazang Dangzhi, an actor from the Gansu Provincial Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe.
