According to the latest statistical data, Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory delivered more than 85,000 electric vehicles in May, setting a new monthly delivery record for the year. The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 39.4% and a month-on-month increase of 8%.
The Shanghai Gigafactory, serving as Tesla's largest global export hub, accounts for over half of the company's total worldwide deliveries. The large six-seater luxury SUV Model Y, produced at the Shanghai facility, is now being expedited for delivery to various Asia-Pacific markets including Singapore, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines.
