Multiple brands of shredded cheese sold by major U.S. retailers, including Wal-Mart and Target, have been recalled due to potential metal fragment contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified this as a Class II recall event.
The FDA warned that over 1.5 million bags of shredded cheese are being recalled across 31 U.S. states and Puerto Rico due to the risk of metal fragments. Affected brands include Great Value and Good & Gather.
