China Kings Resources Group Co.,Ltd. (603505.SH) announced that its controlling subsidiary, Inner Mongolia Jinebo Fluorochemical Co., Ltd., recently received a "Notice of Entrusting a Defender/Applying for Legal Aid During the Review of Prosecution" from the Baotou Railway Transport Procuratorate. The notice stated that the procuratorate has received case materials transferred for review of prosecution regarding environmental pollution by Jinebo Fluorochemical and informed the subsidiary of its right to appoint a legal defender.
In February 2025, a water seepage and overflow incident occurred during the debugging phase of Jinebo Fluorochemical's sulfuric acid plant. The Baotou Public Security Bureau has since transferred the case to the Baotou Railway Transport Procuratorate for review and prosecution. The incident took place inside the chemical industrial park, with seepage and overflow observed on the west side of the plant area. Following the event, the company immediately implemented emergency response measures.
According to judicial appraisal, the soil remediation has met the required targets and standards, with no potential pollution risks remaining. The incident occurred within the chemical park and did not significantly impact the production or daily life of nearby residents. Final details will be subject to the conclusions determined by judicial authorities.
The incident happened during the debugging phase of the sulfuric acid production line and has not materially affected the company's production or operations. The company stated it will strengthen safety and environmental management to prevent recurrence of similar incidents. Currently, Jinebo Fluorochemical's hydrofluoric acid plant and sulfuric acid plant are operating normally.
