Deep News10-04 11:50

According to the Municipal Meteorological Observatory, based on the national standard "Division of Climatic Seasons" GB/T 42074鈥?022 and the latest temperature observation data, all areas of the city except Qidong have already entered meteorological autumn as of September 29. Qidong has not yet met the criteria for entering autumn.

The determination of autumn in meteorological terms is not based on the temperature of a single day, but rather on five consecutive days of moving average temperatures below 22鈩?as the criterion. Simply put, the meteorological department calculates daily average temperatures in five-day cycles. When five consecutive sets of moving averages are all stably below 22鈩? autumn is declared, and the first date in that temperature sequence that falls below 22鈩?is designated as the first day of autumn.

Nantong's average historical date for entering autumn is September 27, making this year slightly later than usual.

Recent Weather Forecast

Everyone should be sure to add clothing and keep warm in a timely manner.
