BYD Targets 1.3 Million Vehicle Exports by 2026

BYD Company Limited is intensifying efforts to boost its deliveries outside the Chinese market by nearly 25%. The company's General Manager of Brand and Public Relations, Li Yunfei, stated at a media briefing in Shanghai on Saturday that BYD aims to sell 1.3 million cars in markets outside China in 2026. This compares to its overseas deliveries of 1.05 million vehicles last year. However, this target may disappoint some investors. Citigroup indicated last November that BYD had set a goal to expand its overseas sales to between 1.5 and 1.6 million units by 2026, a conclusion based on meetings with the company's management.
