Xiaomi's Pengcheng N90 Spotted Alongside AITO M9, Showcasing Its Wide Rear Door Opening

A video surfaced online yesterday, July 13th, showing an undisguised Xiaomi Pengcheng SkyNomad N90 alongside an AITO M9. In the footage, the Xiaomi Pengcheng SkyNomad N90 appears larger in size and more boxy in design compared to the AITO M9. The video also highlights the new vehicle's door-opening mechanism, revealing a rear door that opens to an angle of nearly 90 degrees, facilitating easier entry and exit.

As previously reported, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published a new product announcement for the 409th batch of the "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturing Enterprise and Product Announcement" on July 10th. Four models from Xiaomi's Pengcheng series of plug-in range-extended hybrid electric vehicles completed the filing process. The models in this batch include the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max Camper Version (a plug-in range-extended hybrid cultural lifestyle service vehicle), the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 (a plug-in range-extended hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle), the Xiaomi Pengcheng N70 Max (a plug-in range-extended hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle), and the Xiaomi Pengcheng N90 Max (a plug-in range-extended hybrid multi-purpose passenger vehicle).

The official Weibo account for Xiaomi Pengcheng posted yesterday stating that the first test vehicle for Xiaomi Pengcheng was already on the road as of October 12, 2024. As of June 30th, the program has accumulated 626 days of road testing, enduring two winters and two summers, with 566 test vehicles deployed and a total test mileage reaching 4.28 million kilometers.
