Shares of MAOYAN ENT (01896) fell more than 10% during early morning trading. At the time of writing, the stock was down 10.11% to HK$4.89, with a turnover of HK$88.757 million.

On the news front, data from the professional platform indicates that the new film "Kong Fu Girls" directed by Stephen Chow has surpassed a cumulative box office of 500 million yuan as of July 12. The latest projections for the film's total box office have been revised upwards to 2.505 billion yuan.

It is noteworthy that audience reception for the movie has been sharply divided. The term "unwatchable" previously topped the entertainment trending list on Weibo. On the review platform Douban, the film has received a score of 6.6 out of 10 from over 80,000 participants, with 17% of users giving it the highest five-star rating.
