Energy International Investments Holdings (ENERGY INTINV, 00353) has published its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the 12 months ended 31 March 2026, detailing operational expansion, rising resource consumption and strengthened sustainability targets across its three business segments—investment holding and electronic-product trading, oil & liquefied chemical terminal operations, and newly commenced technology platform-based services.
Total greenhouse-gas (GHG) emissions climbed to 2,093.11 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent, from 19.57 tonnes a year earlier, driven by: • Scope 1 emissions: 19.95 tCO₂e, up 40% due to higher vehicle fuel use linked to expanded business activities. • Scope 2 emissions: 2,073.16 tCO₂e, jumping sharply after the Group began self-operating certain storage facilities at its PRC oil and chemical terminal, assuming direct responsibility for electricity consumption.
The Group’s overall energy consumption rose to 3.44 GWh (2025: 0.07 GWh). Purchased electricity accounted for 3.36 GWh, while petrol use reached 79.42 MWh, reflecting increased transportation needs. A company-wide objective aims to cut total energy use and GHG output by 10% by 2030.
Water usage, disclosed for the first time, totalled 38,996 m³, attributable to the self-operated terminal facilities. Individual office water data remain unavailable due to shared metering arrangements.
Air-pollutant releases also increased: NOₓ at 4.66 kg, SO₂ at 0.61 kg and PM at 0.68 kg. The Group is targeting a 10% reduction in air-pollutant emissions by 2030 through expanded use of lower-sulphur fuels and enhanced vehicle-management practices.
No hazardous waste was generated during the period. Non-hazardous office waste remains minimal; reduction measures include double-sided printing, electronic communications and recycling initiatives.
Workplace safety performance stayed strong: zero work-related fatalities, injuries or lost-time days for the third consecutive year. Safety oversight is led by a dedicated Safety Production Management Committee, supported by mandatory training and drills.
Employee development metrics improved; 72% of staff received training (2025: 25%), averaging 6.9 hours per employee. Group headcount is now 51% male and 49% female, with 95% of employees based in the PRC following the addition of the technology-platform segment. Turnover dropped to 4% (2025: 25%).
Supply-chain monitoring covered five key PRC suppliers; no major suppliers are currently based in Hong Kong. All suppliers must meet social-responsibility criteria, with non-compliance leading to termination.
Product-responsibility data show 62 complaints linked to the technology platform services, all resolved; no product recalls were recorded.
Governance enhancements include the formation of an ESG Working Group reporting to the Board. Climate-risk assessments cite acute weather events, potential policy tightening and market shifts as key challenges. Mitigation steps encompass scenario analysis, emergency planning and exploration of renewable-energy adoption.
During the year, the Group donated RMB 0.74 million to support education initiatives in Shandong Province, aligning with its community-investment policy.
Energy Intl Investments confirms no material non-compliance with PRC or Hong Kong regulations across environmental, labour, health-and-safety, product responsibility or anti-corruption domains during the reporting period.
