On April 25, CHERY AUTO (CHERY AUTO), CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.,Ltd.), CATL's subsidiary Times Electric Service, and CHERY Green Energy signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The parties will deepen their energy strategy collaboration, focusing on the deployment of shared ultra-fast charging and battery swap networks and the joint development of a green energy ecosystem, to promote the high-quality development of the new energy industry.
According to the agreement, the partners will integrate their technological, industrial, and ecosystem advantages to jointly build a digital, zero-carbon energy replenishment network, providing global users with convenient charging and battery swap experiences. CHERY AUTO will develop vehicle models compatible with swappable batteries and the battery swap network. CATL and its subsidiary Times Electric Service will be responsible for the development, iteration, and supply assurance of swappable batteries. CHERY Green Energy will provide comprehensive green energy solutions for various scenarios, enhancing the user energy replenishment experience. This cooperation will also advance the large-scale implementation of vehicle-energy integration, promoting green and low-carbon development in the transportation sector through green technology innovation and ecosystem collaboration, thereby supporting the achievement of carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yin Tongyue, Chairman of CHERY AUTO, and Robin Zeng, Chairman and CEO of CATL.
