TRANSCENTA-B (06628) saw its shares jump more than 11% before the noon trading session on Tuesday. As of press time, the stock was up 11.22% at HK$1.14, with a trading volume of HK$340,700.
On the news front, TRANSCENTA-B announced that on August 6, 2026, after the trading session, the seller (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company) and the buyer, Hangzhou Mingde Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd., entered into an asset purchase agreement. Under the terms, the seller conditionally agreed to sell, and the buyer conditionally agreed to purchase, the CDMO assets for a total consideration of RMB 190 million (subject to adjustments as detailed in the asset purchase agreement).
Upon completion of the second phase, the company will no longer hold any interest in the CDMO assets. The CDMO assets primarily include the GMP manufacturing facilities historically used by the group to provide CDMO services. The transaction does not involve the sale of any intellectual property held by the group related to its drug candidate pipeline or its core biomanufacturing platforms and technologies, including the highly intensified continuous bioprocessing (HiCB) platform and the cell culture medium ExcelPro CHO.
Following the completion of the transaction, the company will continue to generate revenue through out-licensing and collaboration arrangements related to these core CDMO service technologies.
