China Life's Zhang Xinyu Outlines Expansion of Urban and Travel-Based Elder Care Services

Deep News03-26

On March 26, CHINA LIFE (China Life Insurance Company Limited) held its 2025 annual results conference. Discussing the company's strategy for the silver economy, Assistant President Zhang Xinyu stated that in 2025, the company will focus on enriching the supply of services within its comprehensive health and elderly care ecosystem. From the perspective of CHINA LIFE's distinctive health and elderly care services, one key area is "insurance + elderly care." The company will leverage the long-term stability of insurance funds to actively promote services such as CCRC (China Customer Relations Centers) urban elderly care and travel-based elderly care. To date, the company has deployed 20 institutional elderly care projects across 16 cities. Additionally, capitalizing on its own characteristics, CHINA LIFE has launched the "Suixinju" travel-based elderly care product and is exploring the development of a home-based elderly care service system.

The second area is "insurance + health." By integrating internal and external resources, the company aims to diversify its health service offerings, establishing a comprehensive health service system that gradually covers preemptive prevention, in-process management, and post-event protection. Centered on clients' health management needs, it provides a range of services including health check-ups and rehabilitation.

Zhang Xinyu further indicated that, overall, CHINA LIFE's advantages can be summarized from four perspectives: first, the advantage of an extensive network and large team; second, the long-term scale advantage of insurance funds; third, the advantages of its brand and stable operations; and fourth, the multi-license layout across insurance, banking, and asset management under the group umbrella, which helps create synergistic advantages.
