The Hurun Research Institute recently unveiled the "2025 Hurun China Brand Ranking," which for the first time includes non-Chinese brands, offering comprehensive coverage of the Chinese market.
Apple claimed the top spot as the most valuable brand with a brand value of 1.11 trillion yuan, while Kweichow Moutai secured second place with a brand value of 795 billion yuan, maintaining its position as the leading Chinese brand by value. The WeChat brand ranked third and simultaneously replaced Douyin as the most valuable privately-owned Chinese brand.
Douyin's brand value increased by 14% to 280 billion yuan, yet its ranking fell by two positions to fourth place. American electric vehicle brand Tesla made its debut on the list, ranking fifth with a brand value of 270 billion yuan.
The ranking indicates that Pop Mart was the brand with the largest percentage increase this year, with its brand value surging by 288% to 48.5 billion yuan, enabling it to break into the top 50.
Furthermore, the consumer electronics sector, led by Apple, surpassed the alcohol industry to become the highest-valued category on the list, although alcohol remains the industry with the highest value among indigenous Chinese brands.
